Dagens dikt

Filed under: In Swedish/PĂ„ svenska, Poetry — Sigrinn @ 7:11 pm

jag sover sorg
för allting börjar om igen
och kilvisa bitar
expanderar i mig
som ett universum
dÀr alla bitar hamnar lÄngt ifrÄn
uttÀnjd, otillrÀcklig

jag sover sorg
för sova Àr allt jag kan göra
Àven om drömmarna och minnena
vill ÄtervÀcka skrÀcken,
ge mitt liv en mara
och jag vaknar
tömd, fÄngad

jag sover sorg
för denna oro Àter mig
om jag Àr vaken,
fÄr mina leder och ben
att vittra sönder
stickande smulor som domnat
försvinner ut, löses upp

Ice cream personality

Filed under: In English, Tests — Sigrinn @ 1:30 am

Your Ice Cream Personality:

You are not a particularly modest person. You’re proud of who you are, and you don’t care who knows it.

You are a pretty cautious person. You look before you leap, and you don’t leap often. There’s a bit of a wild child within you, but it doesn’t get out often.

You are a fairly open minded person with a wide range of tastes. You are quite accepting of unusual ideas and people.

You are a natural multitasker. You feel alive when you’re doing more than one thing at a time.

You can be a big dramatic and over the top sometimes. You are bold in every way

More Robin Hobb

Filed under: In English, Quotes — Sigrinn @ 10:44 pm

“It was as if he believed that if we took their culture away from them, they’d instantly convert to thinking like Gernians. As if our way of seeing the world were the only real one, and that anyone, given the opportunity, would think like we do.”

from the book Forest Mage (p. 782), book two in The Soldier Son trilogy by Robin Hobb

Read another qoute from this book.

Jag lÀser Robin Hobb

Filed under: Ego, In English, In Swedish/PĂ„ svenska, Quotes — Sigrinn @ 10:55 am

Ligger förkyld efter jobbvecka som lÀgerledare. DÄ passar jag pÄ att lÀsa:

“Do you believe that Gernians are the most important people in the world? Or do you think so only because you were born one? If you’d been born anywhere else, would you still think that you had a duty to protect the interest of Gernia, no matter what it cost other people?”

Filed under: Film, In Swedish/PĂ„ svenska — Sigrinn @ 6:44 pm

Which Goddess lurks in your soul?

Filed under: In English, Tests — Sigrinn @ 10:26 pm

My Results:

Hecate

You hold more power in your little finger than most do in their entire being! Hecate is perhaps the most selective of all deities who inhabit the souls of mortals. Being the goddess of the crossroads, Cosmic Knowledge, and of course witches and magic she can’t be bothered by residing in the souls of the mundane. She often chooses those who practice the craft of the old ways and those who harbor deep mystical secrets that must be kept close. Your soul is old, perhaps having been present at the birth of the cosmos in some form or another. Your ability to comprehend the necessity of death and it’s beauty have awakened a connection to the underworld, where Hecate has been known to reign and you relish this otherworldly bond. Darkness suits you well, as many of the best secrets of the cosmos can be found there.
