… Collage!

Mohair â A smooth, polished surface
âMohair is warmer than wool, with larger, flatter scales that contribute to an overall silky-smooth appearance. The fiber absorbs dye readily and, thanks to that smooth surface, reflects it back brilliantly.â âThe Knitterâs Book of Yarn
Mohairs are positive and confident. You always strive to make a good first impression because you are a proud person, and you care a good deal about what people think of you. You are careful with your words and are always tactful. You enjoy having a broad base of support and respect from those whom you come in contact. You attract this with your warm, sunny, and inquisitive personality.

My brother cleaned his old boy room today, and threw away a whole bunch of useful stuff… Of course I managed to sneak away with some so that I can make junk creations out of them. Lots of photos to put my scissor to, screwnuts, candles, fabrics and so on…
But first I have to stop coughing

You know these pay-it-forwards-ideas swimming around both on the net and in real life? The most famous one is where you do something good for another, and that person pass it on and does something god for yet another, and so on…
Well, now we’ll take it up a notch, we’re going creative! (Boosta kreativiteten hörrni!)
A nice little kick-off or kick start for me, who want to be more creative than I am right now.
I will send a handmade gift to the first three people who leave a comment to this entry requesting to join this PIF (pay it forward) exchange. I don’t know what that gift will be yet and you may not receive it tomorrow or next week, but you will receive it within 365 days, that is my promise. The only thing you have to do in return is pay it forward by making the same promise on your blog. So it’s only for bloggers, sorry you other folks (unless you’re one who knows me IRL and would like to participate in another way…).
It was Amy who passed this one on to me. So, what are you waiting for?

So, I got challenged by Serendipity to make something out of some washers.
Unfortunately my first idea didn’t turn out very well at all, so I ripped it apart, and now the only thing I have to show is this mixed media-something.
At least it’s all made out of recycled stuff; an old green sock, old book pages, pressed flower, left-over yarn and a broken video tape. And of course two of the washers!
I have some washers still and am just waiting for some better inspiration. Fun challenge!

So, here’s the result, though L’s boyfriend thinks I’m crazy (and perhaps many with him). But not the nice lady I met on the subway on my way back from New Year in Stockholm. She thought me cool!
Thank you nice lady :)

We spent most of the day in L’s sofa, watching films and getting creative. L with some beads and I trying to crochet a bag out of a Robocop video…
The theme of today seems to have been; “people who have problems with relationship”. The first we saw was 101 ReykjavĂk, about a young man (but not so young) still living with his mum. He’s living a nothing-life and kinda get in trouble with girls. It was fun and peculiar and in the same way quite serious too. I recommend it.
Later we saw Sideways. Can’t say I fancied that one as much. Just to say they had the definition put as drama comedy, but I would just call it a drama. I don’t see anything fun with killing animals or being depressed. Not so engaging and at the brink of boring. The moral of the film was also something I didn’t quite like. It felt like a movie some middle-aged man in a crisis wrote and directed… And to call it the best comedy of the year? I just don’t get it.
