Testing a little strange thing…
Don’t really know what to do with it yet…
Or if it’s anything fun…
It surprises you sometimes… Like if you’re watching a soap-action/science fiction-tv-series and you are suddenly the spectator to a slow, chanting, musical number, like a crossover between Loreena McKennit and The Fifth Element…
Do you like old time movies? Have you ever dreamed of directing your own black and white film? Coke Zero has a campaign now - Life as it should be - where you can do just that.
You can think what ever you want about the Coke-company, but it is a funny site.
I also have to say that this time they managed to live up to their quote “Real taste, zero sugar” (if you compare with the light-version).
This is how it works:
You get five clips to choose from. You decide a name for one of the characters, you get a question, you type in what you think your character should answer, and then you can see the clip with a voice speaking your exact words. Then you can email your clip to a friend, so they can see what a genie you are… And make a film of their own.
Of course Coke do it just for advertisement. But that’s just it; today you have to make advertisement something special, interesting or funny. That’s what consumers today demand, that’s what you have to do not to drown in this stream of media and advertisement of the modern consumer society.
So, I have to admit that hey’ve done it this time. They’ve grasped this prime thing with user generated content.
Curious?

This is what you can do when you have trouble falling a sleep at night:
In waiting for some photos…

I’ve spent some couple of days at Drömfabriken. Each year the Swedish Film Institute organizes three inspirational days for young film-makers.
This year I was there to talk a little about the music video-project I’ve been working with. Of course I took the chanse to sit in on some of the lectures too.

An interesting 45 minutes was the trailer and the conversations with Terese Mörnvik and Ewa Einhorn about their work in progress documentary Milkbar.
